Israel Life Saving Federation is hosting the first-ever Surf Life Saving Sports competition as an exhibition sport at the 21st Maccabiah Games in Israel on July 21-22, 2022. The competition will take place on Poleg beach in Netanya.
The event is endorsed by Maccabi World Union and the International Life Saving Federation.
Maccabi World Union invites international lifesavers of all religions and denominations to compete in this exciting event. Jewish lifesavers may represent their country in Israel by contacting their local Maccabi delegation.
Events are for juniors, masters, under-18 and open age groups, and in categories including singles, doubles, mixed and teams.
Water events include board races, board relays, surf races, run-swim-run events, wading, and wading relay juniors. Beach events include sprints, sprint relays, beach runs and beach flags.
Lifesaving sports include tube rescues with teams of two, tube rescues with teams of four, and board rescues with teams of two
There are also multidiscipline events including ocean man/ocean woman, run-swim-paddle, taplin relays, and cameron relays for juniors.
